La Bahia has classic Mexican beach style with solid mahogany woodwork, traditional Mexican tile, built-in beds and an L shaped ocean view couch in the living room. Air conditioning has been added to all bedrooms in the condos making them perfectly cool year round. Most north Akumal services are nearby with central Akumal just five minutes south, Yal ku lagoon five minutes north. This is a great center of the bay location, close to restaurants, two convenience stores and a dive shop.
There are 3 levels and every condo has an ocean view. The beach level condos have a patio that's right on the sand and the upper levels have an ocean view terraces. All the condos have ceiling fans (during the winter that's usually sufficient).
Kitchens are fully equipped with full-size refrigerators, four burner stove/oven, microwave, toaster, blender and coffee maker. All utensils and cookware are provided, as well as purified bottled drinking water.
Each living room has a TV with satellite receiver and/or DVD player and a CD stereo in or nearby the living room. Many units have paperback books, CDs and/or a few DVDs. The best feature besides the L shaped ocean view couch is the glass slider that opens to the ocean view terrace. First floors have a patio right on the beach.
The bedrooms have one king bed for the one bedroom condos, or a king bed in the master bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom for the two bedroom condos (exception- #6 has 2 kings). All the bedrooms have air conditioning and a private bathroom, and each is colorfully decorated in the Mexican style.
All the condos have a beach/ocean view and if you have never awakened to a Half Moon Bay sunrise on your ocean view patio or terrace you're in for a real treat! You can also go up to the roof for a really super panoramic view of the sea, beach and jungle.
This central section of the bay has a large amount of fine sand so there is plenty of room on the beach to sunbathe. Beach combing down to La Buena Vida beach bar/restaurant is a daily pilgrimage for some. To the north, a stroll up to La Lunita restaurant for dinner under the moon and stars can be a real memory maker. You can work up an appetite during the day snorkeling in the bay. It's easy to love Half Moon Bay but difficult to tear yourself away once you loosen up and get into it.
