Villa Palmilla starts just inside the front gate with a lovely shaded garden featuring broad leaf tropical plants, a large banyan shade tree and a blue tiled reflection pool with cascading water. This is a perfectly tranquil setting and a perfect prelude to this magnificent luxury villa.
As the over-sized mahogany front door swings wide you enter the main living space for the villa with the living room to your left, and the dining room and gourmet kitchen to your right. Straight ahead are a series of glass doors that slide back into the wall litterally joining the pool area to the interior of the house (see photo below). The floors are marble, most of the cabinetry is solid mahogany (or exotic hardwood), and the hardware on all the doors and cabinets is the finest quality. Generally speaking, everything is top notch, first class all the way, yet very relaxed and tropical.
The interior living room has a plush couch, two nicely upholstered chairs, a large coffee table, and an entertaimnet center with satellite TV, VCR, DVD player and a five disc CD player. A large plate glass picture window provides a view of the pool's waterfall.
The kitchen and dining room are across from the living room in an open floor plan that provides plenty of space. The dining table is handmade of local Chechen hardwood and seats eight people in style. The kitchen has an island with comfortable seating for three. Counter tops are black granite and appliances are stainless steel. There are stand alone refrigerator and freezer units, wine chiller, a commercial grade stove with double ovens and a walk-in pantry. Accessories include a dishwasher, microwave, blender, toaster, coffee maker, and all the utensils and cookware you could need. This is a kitchen perfectly suited for a gourmet chef.
There is a combination office/TV room downstairs with two computer desks and satellite TV. A comfy suede sofa can be made up as a double bed. Opening the glass doors allows direct access to the lap section of the swimming pool and has a view of the waterfall. Adjacent is a bathroom with a shower.
There are three bedrooms in the villa. The master suite has a king bed and a slider to an exterior ocean view terrace. The master bath has a tub with a an ocean view. The first guest suite also has a king bed and shares the furnished ocean terrace with the master suite. The second guest suite has two twin beds that can be converted to a king bed, complete with satellite TV. This suite has a separate ocean view balcony. All of the bathrooms have marble countertops and all of the floors are smooth polished stone. A safe for storing valuables is located in each of the bedrooms.
The pool and beach are the focal point for all the finery contained within the villa. Just outside the interior living room is the swimming pool and a large pool terrace designed for outdoor entertaining and relaxing. There is a living room set in shade with a padded couch, chairs and a coffee table. Another dining table, also in shade, seats six people. Just beyond this is the cookout area with a built-in stone grill (gas and charcoal) and a semi-circular couch. A number of chaise lounges are in either shade and full sun. All are padded for your comfort.
Walking out toward the beach is a grassy buffer changing to pure sand. There are several coconut palms for stringing up hammocks. A stone retaining wall has wooden stairs down to the beach. On the beach there is enough fine sand for sunbathing. The entry to Jady Bay is rocky so water shoes are recommended for getting in. Three kayaks are provided for cruising the bay.
