This a lovely place and a lovely house, very comfortable and luxurious with a spectacular view out on Yal ku inlet and oceanfront pool.
The furnishings and decor are attractive and tasteful, reflecting both the culture of the Maya and the ambiance of the tropics. Four air conditioned bedrooms sleep up to eleven comfortably in Quinta del Mar (see bedding configuration in amenities). The ocean side of the house has a tiled patio that's nicely furnished and a swimming pool that faces the sea. A path leads to the water's edge, the inlet to Yal-ku lagoon. On calm days your snorkeling can begin right here. On rougher days, the offical entrance to Yal-ku Lagoon is right next door.
The house also has 4.5 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with blender and microwave, CD/ tape player, lock box security and a staff that lives on-site in a casita next door. They provide gardening and maid service (included), and can also provide baby-sitting, cook and laundry services at a modest fee. Quinta del Mar is near Que Onda and within easy walking distance to La Lunita and La Buena Vida restaurants. This is a great house, very private and convenient to all of Akumal.
