This lovely house has a nice position on Jade beach, wonderful view, full AC, lap swimming pool, and a convenient location just a few minutes south of central Akumal. Beach level living space, bedroom & pool The front door opens to a foyer with a stairway to the 2nd floor and the main living space of the house straight ahead. On the left is the kitchen and to the right the only bedroom on the first floor, the "pool side" room, with a lovely canopied king size bed, ocean view, private bathroom, air conditioning, television and private access to the pool. The pool is a 55 foot long lap pool, 14 feet wide with enough room to float around and enjoy the sun as well as swim laps. To the left of the entrance is the fully equipped kitchen with twin sinks, modern appliances and a walk-in pantry. A black lava granite breakfast bar has a beautiful view of the Caribbean and features stools on both sides for informal meals. The kitchen is spacious and quite striking with solid mahogany cabinets and black lava stone counter tops & back splashes.
On the ocean side patio/terrace Casa del Sol Naciente has an outdoor dining table under a shade arbor and an exterior living room with two sofas under shade. When the weather is nice this is a lovely place to relax and socialize or share a meal. A nearby outdoor grill makes barbecues easy, or meals can be brought out from the kitchen.
Across from the kitchen is the living room with luxurious black suede couches accented by animal print throw pillows. A living room entertainment center has satellite TV, DVD and CD stereo for your enjoyment. Just outside through the glass slider is the pool and beach. Opposite the living room is the dining room, furnished with a magnificent Balinese hardwood table that can seat up to 12 people.
Upper level bedrooms and spaces Back inside, a winding hardwood stairway goes from the hallway foyer to the upstairs bedrooms. At the head of the stairs is a sitting area with a love seat, couple of chairs, and a nice view of the ocean and beach through a large window. The Sunset suite is immediately to the right and has a private bathroom, romantic canopied king size bed, and a private ocean view balcony. Another 2nd floor bedroom called the Sunrise suite is on the other side of the sitting area and also has a king size bed, ocean side balcony, private bathroom and a security safe. To the left of the spacious main hallway lies the Playa suite and the Moonrise bedroom. The Playa suite shares the same semi-circular balcony as the Sunrise room and has a king sized bed and second security safe. The Playa suite and Moonrise bedroom share a bathroom but for convenience, there are stone sinks in each suite. The Moonrise bedroom has double beds and a private balcony with sea view. On its garden side are wide sweeping views of the jungle.
A newly added sixth bedroom suite has a swinging king-sized hardwood bed, a hand-made bathtub with shower, and an amazing 270-degree view of the Caribbean Sea.
Up on the roof is another wooden shade arbor with a double day bed for your comfort. Combine the 360º panoramic view with the fresh Caribbean breeze and you have a great place for tanning, sunrise, sunset or star-gazing in the evening. Perfect for cocktail hour as well. Out on the beach a large (80 square foot) palapa has 4 individual hammocks and lighting for evening use. For sea lovers, 2 kayaks are provided for exploring greater Akumal Bay where you will find some good snorkeling spots.
