Hacienda de la Tortuga is a small facility with only nine units and a wonderful gourmet beach front restaurant called La Lunita or "Little Moon". They serve seafood dishes, regional specialties and some international selections. If you're looking for a vacation away from the kitchen this is a romantic spot to enjoy the stars and the moon rising over Half Moon Bay. Great snorkeling can be had in Half Moon Bay directly in front off the beach. Just a couple minutes from the condos is north Akumal's gorgeous Yal ku lagoon for more great snorkeling in placid, crystal waters. Three other restaurants, two convenience stores and a dive shop are nearby in north Akumal. About a mile down the road is central Akumal with a full array of services including: two grocery stores, restaurants, beach bar, gift shops, dive shops, money exchange, car rental, adventure tour excursions and more.
