exploring underwater caves in the area since 1993. He and his wife Kay
initiated the Yaxchen exploration in 1997. |

In a male dominated sport, Kay has proven herself over the years to be
a talented and dedicated explorer of underwater caves. |

Bob Hemm, New York, USA.
Bob has been invaluable to us with his knowledge of video production and
expeditions. He has spent numerous hours both behind the camera and with
us discussing how to best capture the images necessary to depict the caverns
and caves. Bob has been a great supporter of our exploration since January
1997. |

Sam Meacham, Playa Del Carmen, Mex. Sam has donated
his time and expertise in order to help us document some of the varied
biology in the cave and surface pools. Sam has explored in many caves and
is currently working on a cave system north of Yaxchen that we anitcpate
will be connected to the system at some point in the future. |

Marcelo Mendez, New York, USA. Marcelo is a talented
underwater videographer and editor. He has been instrumental in creating
a short documentary for us to help familiarize people with the area and
the process of cave diving and exploration. |
