Central Playa del Carmen
This is ground zero for Playa, where it all began. Here you will find the Ferry dock to Cozumel and a wide beach which narrows somewhat as it stretches northward past numerous beach bars, restaurants, dive shops and water sport vendors offering everything under the sun.
North Playa del Carmen
This is a wide sandy stretch of beach, north of the pier at Porto Real. The beach is generally wider and more tranquil here than it is in town with beach clubs and water sports available to the public.
