Soliman Bay beach - Riviera Maya, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Peaceful tranquility is a good description of Soliman Bay. The beach is narrow but beautiful with fine sand and just a few rocks. There's plenty of room to sunbathe, launch your kayak for a cruise, or don you mask and fins for a snorkeling session. Many of the beach houses have kayaks and the bay has an outer reef break to limit the surf on windy days. On the southern end of the bay is a little eatery, Chamico's, very basic but good for a cold one and a bite. On the north end of the beach is the Sahara Cafe at Hotel Jashita, specializing in fresh seafood and international cuisine. By the highway entrance to Soliman Bay, just across from the entrance, is Oscar y Lalo's restaurant, a convenient jungle-side restaurant to enjoy seafood, Mexican specialties [dancing and music some nights].
