Every room is air conditioned and there are only five of them, each with a private bathroom, table & chairs, night stand, quiet Hunter ceiling fan, air conditioning, and a small exterior porch with an angled view of Tankah Bay and the Caribbean. A daily continental breakfast is included in the price of the rooms. All rooms are located at beach level and there's a wide sandy tanning area with beach lounges for sun worshipers right in front of the Inn. If you want to check out beautiful Tankah Bay the Inn has kayaks and snorkeling equipment.
When your daily sun and fun are done you can relax in the second floor common room~ dining room, which has a nice living room area, library of books, games, stereo system with music selection, lots of tables and chairs in the dining room section, a bar/restaurant, and a beach front terrace with a great view of greater Tankah Bay and the Caribbean. This is a lovely place to kick back and relax out of the sun but still enjoy the sea breeze, and perhaps a cocktail or cerveza. The bar is open mornings through the day and into the evening, and it is an honor system self service bar. As they say, "We have the system, you have the honor". The bar is conveniently located by the common area living room and ocean terrace.
Manatee cenote is a beautiful natural cut through the mangrove (about a 3 minute walk from the hotel) and a great alternate snorkeling spot to Tankah Bay. There are plenty of fish to see and it's quite common to see migratory birds up in the foliage. Tankah Bay is located between Akumal and Tulum, just south of Soliman Bay. For more about the beaches and destination of Tankah Bay see the links provided in the amenities list below.
