This lovely beach house is ecologically friendly and uses solar energy to provide electricity. That means high energy consuming appliances like hair dryers, toasters, etc. should not be used here. This house is an opportunity to enjoy the natural side of the tropics, in a gorgeous setting on one of the finest stretches of Tulum beach in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The house is equipped with energy saving light bulbs, appliances, plenty of hot water and 24/7 WiFi. Because there are no other villas around and plenty of greenery and sand the ambiance is very private and tropical. All the windows and doors in the house are handmade from exquisite solid mahogany. Windows are screened and louvered to allow the breezes to pass through while giving a view of the tropical foliage and/or sea, and providing security.
Upstairs the house has an open living space with a full kitchen, living and dining area, and a flight of floating wooden stairs that leads up to a loft bedroom with a double bed and private half bath. Off the living room doors open to a beautiful ocean side verandah with a view of the Caribbean. Several wooden beach chairs, tables and a comfy hammock make this a great place to lounge, socialize and enjoy the bech view. There is also a full bedroom on this level which opens onto the verandah. It has one king size bed, a dresser, built in closets, and bedside tables and lamps, and a private bathroom to the rear of the bedroom.
Downstairs are two more bedrooms, both with private bathrooms and both with private entries from a covered patio. One has two double beds and is slightly smaller with an adjoinging door. The larger one is essentially a studio/suite with a king size bed, 15ft banco bench seat that can serve as extra single bed space, small kitchenette and a dining table with chairs. Both rooms open to the beach side patio which overlooks a private tropical garden. There a copse of palms shades a permanent table and bench amidst greenery with a seaview and an outdoor shower for your convenience. From there a sandy garden path opens to Tulum's magnificent beach just a few steps away. This is a sun worshipers paradise and is great for beach combing along the surf line. On the beach are two shade palapas with lounge chairs and sling beach chairs for your retreat from the sun. This is a very private beach house in a beautiful location. During the summer months sea turtles nest in the soft sand so please take care not to step on raised mounds on the beach during that time of year.
Zamna Guesthouse is located on Tulum's wide sandy beach just 7 kilometers south of the Tulum Ruins. There are several fine beach restaurants nearby like La Zebra, Om, Tita Tulum, Ana y Jose's, Zama's Que Fresco restaurant to name a few. A larger gorcery store is nearby on the Coba road (Tulum beach access road). Go to Chedraui, right next to the police station.
