Kayaking in Sian Ka’an
Glide with your kayak into and around beautiful wetland mazes, wildlife, and local Mayan history in the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve (SKBR).
The biosphere was established in 1986 and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. It is also a RAMSAR site due to the international importance of it’s wetlands. It is home to a large number of resident and migratory bird species (around 320), five neotropical felines, sea turtles, crocodiles, tapirs, and manatees.
This expedition is the best opportunity to get introduced to kayaking for first-timers or experienced ones who want to explore the incredible natural wonders of this region.
You will also snorkel in an open mangrove cenote, part of the second largest underground river system of the Yucatan Peninsula. This expedition promises an unforgettable experience for all, providing a unique perspective on the wonders of this remarkable region..
